basically stripped down the mx5 loom as much as i thought safe and then fitted what was left. I continued the removal of wires once all hooked up, so I could test everything, cut, test again. Otherwise you will be in a world of pain when you find something not working.
Top tip is to cut u shaped hole out of tray edge and run the wires through them with a grommet or the grommet trim you can buy on ebay, and then lift the tray into place and rivet. Then no unsightly wires going over top of frame.
Last pic of the blue wire shoved in the connector. This wire is a joint wire from parking brake AND brake fluid level, that I had accidentally cut, which makes a light illuminate on dash. So I readded it and all good.
